Manawatu Gorge Track
11km | 3-5hr | One-way | Medium Fitness
Covered in ancient bush and home to a variety of wildlife, Te Apiti – Manawatu Gorge is steeped in legend and has many a story to tell.
4km | 2hr | Loop | Medium Fitness
If you want to see all the beauty that Te Apiti has to offer, but don’t want to tackle the Main track then the Tawa Loop Walk is for you. You’ll also be able to meet Whatonga, a gigantic statue in the forest.
Manawatu Gorge Loop Track
15-30min | Loop | Low Fitness
A short, easy walk for all abilities. Great for children and push-chairs.
Upper Gorge Bridge Track
4km | 2hr | One-way | Medium Fitness
This track offers all the native bird and plant life of the main track, and is a great alternative if you are short on time. With steep climbs and fantastic viewing points high about the Manawatu River, this a popular track for those wanting a bit of a challenge.
